So I guess its time for another update. There are lots of things happening with Pulse8 lately. I guess we'll start
with the Mayhem on Maher. Doug McD threw one hell of a bash at his place last week. Lots of people, lots of booze, and what a perfect day. 90 and sunny all day long so the pool got alot of use all day. So to start the day off, Damon and Scott roll up to the stage in Doug's back yard in the band van. Whats the first thing everyone notices??  Apparently Damons driving skill had picked up a piece of roadkill underneath the van because it was stinking.  I mean stinking bad!
We never did find the carcass but something was there. After a few hours of airing out the van it finally cleared up enough to be tolerable. It was a great day of football, wiffle ball, and cornhole. About 7:00 or so we got up and blew off our first set of the night. We played about an hour or so then took a break. 9:00 we jumped up for our second set. It was getting dark, alot more people showed up, and the lights were slamming. We made it all the way to our second to last song when ..... guess what.....   Thats right,  the law shows up. We had 1 song to go and all of the sudden there are 5 boone county cops standing next to the stage. We just figured...  Oh well, we are done. We only had 1 song to go anyway and we started to unplug. So then 1 of the officers walks up onto the stage, looks at me and Damon and says ....  "Ok guys  you can play 1 more song but it better be heavier than the last one I just heard."  We were all shocked and were like..   what did he just say????  lol   So we fired the amps back up and blasted out BOOM for Doug McD while 5 cops stood on the side of the stage. Talk about some cool ass police officers. THANK YOU Boone county police and thank you Doug for one KICK ASS party! We had a blast and cant wait to do it again.
Also a HUGE thanks to Noodles for the kick ass PA and sound work. Hardest working man in the business. If your in a band and need sound look him up.

So next I guess is the Florida show coming up. Pulse8 has just signed a deal with RatPak records out of new hampshire.

RatPak also has us hooked up with a big Friday and Saturday night show in New Port Richey Florida coming up next month where we will get to play in front of some really big record label reps. Not only did Joe get us the gig but he also got the trip paid for!!  What more could we possibly ask for? RatPak has been amazing and also has our myspace page getting 150 to 200 plays a day.  Hopefully that just keeps on climbing.

We have alot of out of town shows coming up. Illinois, Mt Sterling, KY  Grayson, KY so keep checking the web sites for show dates.

We have a show booked for August 30th at Southern lanes that will be our official RatPak signing party. Dont miss it. This is going to be a blast. We have Boomslang coming down from Illinois to do this show with us. These guys kick some serious ass and are some of the coolest cats you will ever meet. I think there might even be a couple birthday bashes happening at southern that night so it should be a great crowd.
